Let’s Taco Bout It: How To Create A Taco Bar

Grab your margarita, flip flops and don’t forget about the tacos. Yes, that’s right, tacos. It doesn’t matter if you are vacationing across the country or relaxing at home, one way you can set the table and set the scene for a tropical getaway is with a taco bar. Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients:

  • Taco Shells
  • Tortillas
  • Veggies of your choice
  • Cheese
  • Sour Cream
  • Guacamole
  • Refried Beans
  • Choice of Meat (chicken, beef, tofu)

*Don’t forget plates, napkins and eating utensils.

Make sure you purchase enough ingredients so every guest can make at least two tacos. Our taco bar serves enough for about 10 people.

Once the ingredients are purchased, it’s time to make the food and place it in your desired dishware or trays.

We decided to stick to a tropical theme. We used the Kale tray set to hold our bowls of vegetables and condiments. They made it easy to transfer the food from the kitchen to the outdoor space.

When laying out the taco shells and tortillas, we used the Jamari Tray set. These trays work perfectly and they also have an antique Caribbean flare.

You can’t have a taco bar without the appropriate accessories to create the desired atmosphere. Because Mexico is full of bright colors, we decided to display bold red flowers in our Kaelem vases.

When the sun sets and night falls everything will sparkle and shine because of assorted candles displayed on the table. We love the bamboo inspired Kamari candle holders.

Well there you have it, the essentials for creating a tropical inspired taco bar. Now grab a plate, create your tacos and enjoy your Mexican getaway.
